    This is my version of M1 the crab nebula from late last year.  The data has being collected over past 2months and is  cropped.  A very frustrating time trying to beat the weather but hay ho

    Telescope - 102mm APO ES refractor on a AVX mount

    Camera- Canon 70d unmoded iso800 with a IDAS-D2 filter.  

    Duration 5hours - 300s lights., Darks, flats and bias frames also taken

    Guided with PHD2 and processed in PS

    This is my version of M16. Just about see the pillars of creation Finally a couple of clearish nights over the past few weeks. Almost forgot how to set up!

  8. Hi

    I used a 450d. I had the settings on RAW ISO 800 and bulb with a remote shutter. Then went onto backyard EOS (which has a free trial period). This made things a lot easier and the added bonus that you can see the quality of images as you go along. As for battery i always had a spare at hand :)
