thanks Chris, agreed mate outa all my scopes theres 3 i wouldnt part with my 200p old faithful and my old Cooke. old faithful just takes great and easy pics theres hardy any CA only right on the edge of the moon and very bright stars its gave me 20 years of good service i keep thinking of getting it resprayed cos it has quite a few scratches in the paintwork.

got some help this morrning my grandson has taken these pics with a bit of help. seeing is a bit better today but far from great.

Seeing isnt so great here this morrning very fazey, but the AR still looked very nice through the live view.

nice prom on the lower oncoming limb, there is a few more just very faint.

thanks Luke, i got the AR first but it got worse mate where i could hardly see the proms on the live view and the vids was just full of red noise. hope you get some good skys soon mate. charl.

you would know as soon as you tryed to use it and you would be able to tell before by looking if you sensor it would have some burn marks and/or blistering. i think you may well be lucky. charl.

a qwick shot of the newest AR theres a few nice proms but i carnt get any useable vid with the milky skys i have here.

thanks Luke, i dont know what happend with the colour one on my lappy it looked good but on me 4k monitor it looked well over sat i think it will take a while to get back in the swing of things. i only got a look on the live view and it looked very nice i was cut short by cloud. i know i run around like ive worms in me brain after seeing something on gong 🙂.

you all know im quarkers and in my view there nothing better for a cheapish close up view/image of the sun. ive just got my quark back from service so hopefully will be back to posting images soon weather permiting 🙂 charl.

im not trying to push my view on to anyone Chris, but if you look into it yourself you may come to the same conclusion. evil isnt a strong enough word really in his case.
