Hi
Just wondering if anyone knows whether any of the Skywatcher/ Celestron or any other Polar scope will fit the vixen Polarie sky tracker? as i really don't want to be paying close to £300 for the Vixen one 😮
thanks

You have pushed the scope up as far as you can?
Hi,
Yes scope is as far forward as it can be but still back heavy, hence the need for counterweight for front end 🙂

How do you guide?
Hi Vlaiv
I guide using qhy mini guide scope and the ZWO120 mini,
The red dovetail bar in the picture above is what is attached to the RC6 and what i would be looking to attach the counterweight to,
I do like the look of the one you linked to though, FLO have one similar but not in stock ☹️ -
I currently have a Ioptron RC6 mounted on EQ6, for imaging i am using Canon 600d,
The setup is very back heavy and i am struggling to achieve balance so i am looking for a simple counterweight system to attach to the front of the setup to aid in balancing,
This is the dovetail bar that is attached to the scope
Would any of these be suitable for the task ? with the above bar or is there some easier alternative that people have used?

Hi for the Star Adventurer you select “on camera St4”
Make sure you choose right ascension only in the guiding setting.
interesting 😄

Don't know what that means?!
there is a sd card in the Asiair pro which contains all necessary files and operating system, you need to make a backup of that card (well you don't need to but better if you do ) if the card becomes corrupted which does happen you wont be able to use the pro. i belive it is a bit of a pain getting one from ZWO

Another thing that came up was that 'Your phone isn't connected to a data service' and it give website to try through google for more information. 😳
thats a strange one ?? have you made sure airplane mode is off?
Have you updated the Asiair pro app on your phone to the latest version since you got it ?
and don't forget to make a backup of the Air pro OS as well -

Do I need the cables in and the 64 gb usb that comes with it
you save any images you take on that usb drive, plug it into the usb3 slot on the Air Pro

they still have 4 hours left in the time window, but vehicles just gone to launch pad, not a good sign

Just thinking aloud here 😁 because i know i am going to have to attempt collimation at some point on the RC6 that i have (not looking forward to it going of other responses about it 🤔 )
Is this not something that could be demonstrated in the form of a collimation lesson at one of the SGL star parties when they are back ON? 😀

And adjust the white point slider towards the blackpoint
Thank you for this information, i will give it a go,
i am not currently using a reducer.

I'm going to give this another go tonight, i know the moons up and about but that should give me a target big and bright enough to see and try focus on

I also have attached my guidescope under my scope and it cures the back heavy balance issue
Nice, i like how you have that set up, 😁
Can i ask what size bolt/screw you used to fasten to the red dovetail bar and what is the smaller scopeThanks
-
Amazon, they have all kinds of them and they don't cost that much

Yes - FLO sell the bar and fittings you need.
The RC really needs a much longer lower bar that extends beyond the back of the OTA.
HTH
Brilliant,
So the red one fits 😁 just emailed FLO and asked them that question, totally agree with the longer bar
Thanks for letting me pester you about it ,
Regards

Yes
Did you attach an extra Vixen-type Dovetail bar to the top of the tube? and then attach to that

I have one and it seems to work a treat - not noticed any issues at all.
Could i just ask, have you piggy backed any smaller scope on your RC6

Hi,
It's been a while since i used any of those but, I think the enhanced version has a guide port to allow for guiding if needed,
on the plus side as well it looks better 😃
