Very nice Avtar - keep hearing great things about SLVs but haven't had the chance to look through one yet.
I bought these after reading Johns review.
I wanted light weight eyepieces with good eye relief and high quality views and these fulfill all the criteria.
I thought the 50 degree AFOV would not be to my liking having been used to 82 and 72 AFOV with my other eyepieces but the view through these is so good I don't seem to notice that I'm looking through a 50 afov eyepiece.
The 30mm NPL is also a very good eyepiece that goes very well with the SLVs
These are now my most used eyepieces. I'm feeling a bit guilty as the Delos and Nagler don't get any scope time.

The little crossbar that holds the front altitude bolt had to be filed to make it fit under the flange that holds the head in place.
At the moment I've just taped the crossbar, I will need to file it down a little more for the screws to fit.

I've been wanting to mount my ED120 on an AZ mount with slow motion controls but didn't want to spend anymore as I've already overspent my budget. So I converted (with a little filing) my EQ5 to work in AZ mode.

My other travel kit for holidays in the UK is the ZS 71 ed with Hyperion 24mm and Baader Zoom 8-24 mounted on the Skywatcher AZ goto.
The 90 Mak in my previous post I use when going abroad.

Your baby Mak has grown since May.
I was so impressed with the views through the baby Mak that I just had to get a bigger one that would also fit on the AZ goto.

Came across this interesting little asterism while unsuccessfully searching for NGC 188.
It reminded me of the Big Dipper so I just had to sketch it.
It's in the region of the Seven Sisters of the Pole about 4 to 5 degrees from Polaris in the Constellation of Cepheus.
I think there's just too much light polution for me to see NGC 188 from my location.

I would be very happy with just the Baader Zoom + 2.25 Barlow and the Panaview 38mm but I'm not getting rid of the Delos and Nagler eyepieces.

Yes Alan, and a very fine eyepiece it is too.Avtar,
I spy with my little eye an eyepiece that used to live with me.

Nice case full Stu
Using a Giro-type mount does make you focus on scope balance that bit more.
I acquired an Altair Astro AZ mount recently and realised very quickly that I had to tighten the altitude knob every time I changed eyepieces.
The mount is so smooth and intuitive to use I just love it.
I have the following focal lengths:
3.5 - 5 - 7 - 9 - 10 - 14 - 15 - 17 - 20 - 24 - 28 - 30 - 38
8 to 24 Zoom
1.6X - 2X - 2.25X Barlows
I think thats all bases covered for focal lengths but as far as quality is concerned, thats another matter.

Show me your eyepiece/accessories case, please.

I am now using 1.25" eyepieces only in my scopes (may be just another phase I'm going through).
Here's my case.
