I just ordered a new laptop so I can run N.I.N.A, of course that also means I will have to put all the other software on there too!! Ascom drivers, eqmod, Bluetooth for wireless mount control, guiding software, plate solving, planetarium etc etc never a smooth ride but well worth the struggle, well done Russ

I have Esprit 120 ed, it has great wide field views, great for big nebula and the associated astrophotography, it came with a matched flattener, however surely a longer focal length would be better for planets

Don't get into a discussion, just tell them your intention and under legislation your entitled to your refund, any reputable company would and should of offered this when you first notified them you were unhappy with your purchase.

Could I be cheeky and ask what your response would be with the situation? 🤔
Also for future reference, when are you getting stock in again???
FLO are a very honourable company who value their customers, i think we all know what their response would be (I dont work there btw)

I too was looking for an esprit 120ed, I actually managed to get one second hand fitted with a moonlite focuser from the SGL for sale section, keep your eyes peeled..
-
Your getting there, once you get the hang of it all becomes second nature, just remember we have all been where you are, the frustration of equipment and compatibility when setting up can be so frustrating. Just remember we are all here for each other to help, SGL will get you there, never be afraid to ask for help.

Just a thought, in eqascom is the mount showing as "PARKED", may need to unpark it before sidereal rate is engaged

Srry if this complicates things for you, I have replaced my mount to pc cable with a wireless Bluetooth module ,https://www.dewcontrol.com/Wireless_/cat3099126_2678521.aspx. it comes in 2 parts, one piece replaces the hand controller and cable, it plugs directly into the mount, the other dongle just plugs into a USB on the laptop, works like a dream. I then use eqmod and stellarium for targets. My guide cam connects directly to laptop and runs through phd2. This works really well and means one less cable to worry about. Don't give up, you will get it sorted, check all settings in the software you are using.

If you are not using a coma corrector or field flattener then i dont think it will change the ability for a dslr to achieve focus as it just replaces the adapter in your photo, the telescope focuser should provide enough travel to still achieve focus. Maybe send FLO a message to check

Maybe this will be the answer, internally threaded for 2 inch filters

Been awhile for me too, from memory i think i used to follow a similar routine, used stellarium to target eg arcturus when it stopped slewing i would release the clutches and manually push the scope onto the target then tighten the clutches back up, always seemed fairly good enough for visual work, polar alignment does need to be in the ball park though.

Oh no Mark what a shame, think id get the sandpaper out now while everything is in the component stage, be a shame to put it all together only to find it affects the overall performance in a negative way, all looks great though
-
Looking very nice so far Mark, hmm that last photo makes me think its time to wash the mirrors in my 200p as its not been used for ages!
-
Totally agree with dave, the 200 way too heavy on eq5
