This looks great, can anyone tell me how it is affected by vibrations, I have found other side mounted setups to be a tad annoying at the slightest of touches.

That's brilliant Derek, it's also quite reassuring news for anyone thinking of getting a new one ?

Pig, Louis D, no supplier bashing please!
My apologies, that was not my intention.... just an exceptionally bad experience that is difficult to forgive.

They will take some beating John, quality will always hold its value because the characteristics that make it quality are built in. I had a very bad experience with Lord Voldermort Ludes and personally I wouldn't take their kit if I was paid to use it ? Regardless of their standing.

I am sure there is a connection with Lunt & ES, during my visits to various astronomy shows I've noticed one of the guys behind both stalls has been the same guy. I once asked him, when I was looking at the big ES Dob on one stall and then the Lunt stall about half an hour later, if they were the same company and his response was just a big cheesy grin,
I am sure he just changes his T-Shirt from an ES to Lunt !! It reminded me of the Tommy Cooper hat routine ?

I also agree with Calvin about the trainers ? Pikey feet.

Nice one John... I also think ease / portability is key
I can see Venus and some clouds, hopefully I will get a peak. I also want to experiment with the refractor and the spectroscopy grating.

All 4 of the big Dobs I have seen are great looking and great performers .... I am not so sure if their owners have these same attributes though

Hiya Jen,
It is not a scope I have come across before and until you try it out you will not really know..... You have taken the sensible route without spending a fortune before you know if stargazing is for you. Please let us all know how you get on with it -
Very nice set up most beautiful.

Very nice indeed Mike....

Not too sure... probably the Lunt 1.25 with built in NDF as it will fit into both scopes ? But if I get a 2" SCT cliclock this may change to a 2" wedge ?
