Hi Justine , I have just bought a second hand skywatcher skyliner 200p dob. It's a bit of a beast! I was really lucky , I looked on gumtree and it was selling for £ 130 with 2 eyepieces and only a few miles away. I'm really glad I bought it as it is highly recommended on this forum and I won't need to update it for a while. In a few weeks time Saturn will come into view in the evenings, I've seen it through a small scope and it looked amazing , I can't wait to see it through my 8in dob! Enough about me , what kit do u have and are u a newbie like me? Kevin

Hi Justine you was watching io disappear behind Jupiter last night as was I, being a newbie I was amazed ! It's incredible what we can all see from our own back gardens. Enjoy your new hobby and your scope , Kevin

Hi, from my very limited experience with scopes and a lot of research I have just bought a second hand skywatcher skyliner 200p dob . It is a highly recommended scope. Many people on this forum will tell you that scope makers spend more money on tripod , goto and electronics than on the optics which are more important . All the electronics can add a lot of confusion to a newbie. I have found with my scope is that I put it into the garden , point it at what I want to look at and that is it! As simple as that . Hope this helps Kevin
