Not been out in a while but tonight explored southern uplands of moon and crater Newton and also enjoyed some time with Venus and Jupiter.

Jupiter at opposition and clear skies. just had a great time observing the king of planets.

So, referring to earlier post, I could resist no longer and had brief session with new SW Myriad 9mm EP. To me as quite an amateur all I can say is wow - immersive experience it certainly is. Felt like was walking trhough the Pleiades.

Skywatcher Myriad 9mm EP arrived:) Christmas present from family so question is can I resist trying it out before then!

Got everything set up last night to see if I could view transit of Ganymede only for huge unbroken bank of cloud to roll in with now sign of a break any time in the immediate or longer for that matter future. Such is life!

That is typical. First clear night in ages and I am felled with a virus. Oh well :(
