Stepping over the dog, who decided at that moment to stand up, between my legs, and me reaching for support of the dual rig, and it toppled over with me, and taking the full brunt of the 80mm as I fell onto it, catching me in the higher rib cage, very luckily no damage to scope, but did end up with two cracked ribs

And something simple like this will make the dob so much a easier to handle

Decent Barlow, you can cut down on the number of lenses then. 4 would be more than enough, oh, and go for the 8"

For your 80mm, magnifications from 80x-160x will only be useful a small percentage of the time.
That's eyepieces of 7mm down to 3.5mm. Obviously, a 7mm would be usable more of the time than shorter focal lengths.
If the Baader Barlow is the Hyperion Barlow, it will turn the 24mm into a 10.7mm focal length (OK) and the 17mm into a 7.6mm
Yes, its the Baader Hyperion Barlow, cheers for the info. I have a 5mm X-cell, so will try that out first at some point, but do like the Hyperions

Quick question, I have the 2.25 barlow, how well will they work with a Hyperion 24 and 17mm lens
Cheers
I'm considering getting either a 10 or 5mm, or would that be too much mag

Pretty much most of my kit has breen brought second hand from this forum, and have had no problems
When selling off items I then want to pass on to fund other items, I drop the price from what I paid for it, and some have had bargins, would rather someone made use of it, than end up just gathering dust or rust
I just wish peeps that want to sell stuff I want, not do it so often, my wish list is already long enough

Since many stores have been stripped of their stocks of hand sanitisers, and liquid soaps, I'm wondering how effective Isopropyl Alcohol would be as a bug killer.
Alcohol has to be 60%. My IPA isn't that strong, so might be useless in any case.
This will sort you out, you can keep it in the frezzer, it doesn't freeze, and comes out thickish, ps, it has quite a kick,

Hi, perfect thankyou. Oh and regarding your earlier post. I'm from Southampton originally, but we moved to Bridgwater when I was 7, where I lived a big chunk of my life. I know Taunton fairly well, I went to SCAT and worked in and around the town for a good few years. I've been in Yeovil now for around 15 years.

I have a choice between a Tamron 70-300 F4.5.6 or a Sigma 70-300 f4.5.6
Is there much difference, which would be the better choice
