  1. Good Morning All,

I've had a check of the board and as far as I can tell none of the components have failed. All of the inductors, diodes and caps appear to be okay.

The chips are PIC16F886. I think the version is above V2 but until I reconnect the handset I can't be sure. I'll be doing that in a short while.

Is it possible to get new boards? And if so, does anyone know how much, it might be easier than trying to re-program this board.

    Cheers, colin.

If the board is stuffed, then a reprogram has to be cheaper if it work than a new board, as there nothing to lose but your time,,,,,i can't help with the replacement if one is required, maybe a e-mail to Skywatcher.......de G0OHQ...:)

  2. Tinker, welcome to the club!!!!

    Colin

Shame its not by invitation only ...:) i will get some testing done (maybe 32 bit only) sorted out the PC Connected to the Hub Wirelessly but no Internet access, 4 other PC types (laptop, Tablet, Mobile Phone, Wife's Notebook )working fine ended up a Hub reboot, simple cure but not easy when its got other stuff working.

  3. Watching this thread with interest, i have a EQDir (sourced for FLO) and seem to have the same problems, get 3 text boxes when i register 2 are error and 1 say success, it finds the Com Port but won't connect, i also have a GPS that works via it software but EQMod see's the Com Port but won't collect any Data when i click on the required box.....Running Window 7....64 bit

  4. My NEQ6 tripod shows no sign of rust and while it is put away after use i have never dried it off, it has stainless steel legs and heavy enamel for the top and bottom, so if its left outside i would make something to keep the weather off, either a square type of box with a lid that fits over the edges, the box i think i would hinge so it would fold up flat the 2 corners that meet maybe some screw in eylets with a rod going through them to hold the corner together, this would make for a very quick removal when you get some clear skys....

  5. Added the XW 7mm, the middle front and middle rear will take the XW 14mm and the XF 12.5mm some time this summer, the choice of foam this type is eFoam.co.uk packagine foam, its a bit on the firm side for my liking so i may go back the medium foam they cost around £10 for either type and they cut to size in my case 19" X 17" X 3" and ordered late Thursday arrived Saturday a.m.

  6. Tinker1947, going back off subject for a moment, (in the first picture of the very nice gates) why have you put those strips down the gate posts? I just had some large gates fitted and don't have them, am I missing out?

No real reason for them......some get them some don't....:)

  7. Thanks for the comments, now getting the thread back on track, there must be curved bricks on sale someplace, or it can't be that hard to make some moulds and make them out of cement with a colourer added...????
