  2. Your ally pole get a suitable broom handle or hardwood dowel 2.8m length and push it through the ally tube so it won't bend in the wind and with a good fit allow the pipe to be clamped at the bottom......I have in the passed used plastic pipe with a wooden insert there very stable and cheap...

  3. I brought a Astrozap for my C11 from FLO arrived Tuesday, used it last night, the corrector plate after a couple of hours still looked like a piece of crystal glass (it may well be anyway) i would recommend one for you setup Gina, i know we like to make our own i had a piece of cell foam and a dew strap, the cell foam kept going out of shape, the Astrozap is a sort of sprung plastic, flocked inside with a heave duty velcro down the join, the dew heater i haven't really looked at  but it works on a Maplin PSU ok, the lead is ok about 6' long,  its tidy and when the sun comes out (maybe next week) a photo will follow.....Well done with the replacement scope by the way.....

  4. If your making your own adapter, go the the extra mile and make it variable in length, say 2/3rds of your required length for a female section and 2/3rds for a male section both bits threaded so winding them together gives a shorter spacer right down to thou's  of a inch, if doing the threads is a bit difficult i'm sure a slide and clamp system would work...you can buy 42mm tapes but there in the £200 + range....
