  1. Download graxpert it has a gradient removal feature can work pretty well Also siril has a gradient remover.
  2. really, really don't worry about it. its still more than on topic and i really appreciate reading all your discussions. the svbony i might go for if the 2" version isn't too much. tempted to have a go with a random no brand uhc for £12 though. off topic...im currently getting 1.00" guiding on bodes and cigar through cloud with 3 second ag exposure times. dunno how that works. it seems snr is (almost) everything for my auto guiding/setup.
  3. It's more the name of the adapter that my current 1.25" UV/it cut filter screws into before I then screw that into the filter drawer. also im not paying £21 for the adapter for a £12 filter, though it does look reasonably similar. ill hit up svbony see what they say, as i could do with a third filter drawer too, just in case i get two dnb filters at a later stage,
  4. I have the svbony filter holder and two filter draws it came with. Looks very much like the zwo one. I should email svbony see what they say I guess. I was looking towards a 2" which should screw directly into the filter drawer.
  5. any idea what the name of the adapter i screw it into before then screwing all that into my spare filter holder? can't find them anywhere
  6. I almost fell off my chair first time I used flats, the difference was so good.
  7. I have a sw 72ed and flattener, sw SA GTi mount and a 600d, ( recently upgraded to an svbony605cc imx533 square sensor) All plugged into Nina for controling it.
  8. Siril graxpert and astro sharp.oh and gimp. Maybe watch some basic siril tutorials from nebula photos or deep space astro on youtube. Most important is starnet++ integration with siril. It separates stars from the rest so you can stretch and process them separately before recombining them.
  9. Found some 1.25" uhc on fleabay for a massive £12 Inc delivery. Tempted to try it out at that price.
  10. it looks really good, but carbon fibre makes everything better
  11. i tried cleaning my uv/ir cut filter. i won't be trying it again as i can see a finger print on it
  12. yes but there's not much detail in them im extremely lazy and i wouldn't do calibration frames unless i thought it was well worth the effort. i think you'd have gotten them too if your fov was just a little wider. i re did this image again containing two session and had to crop in a lot due to light pollution (i assume) gradients. didn't want to crop those little guys out. this image below is my bestest attempt (with only free software) and a total of 13320 seconds. i can see at least two other tiny galaxies, there's probably more. there's a lot of tiny galaxies about, it seems
  13. thing is thought, flats don't just remove dust they also remove vignetting - you can see the curved darkened corners in my first image and the lack of it in my second image. pretty much due to using flats.
  14. I'm imagining a trail of sparks on the ground
  15. This also looks cool but not AS cool I don't like the sw sparkly black finish, same as on my 72ed. Id prefer the sparkles only in my images that link to the unc is interesting. Looks cool and might save me a lot of hassle. Plus only 4kg? I weighed my own payload and it's 3.1kg. scope and rings are 1.8kg according to Flo's website. I could almost use this on my mount.
  16. I'd pretty much discounted uhc filter but your image clearly shows I shouldn't have. I'll have do a bit more research I'm currently pretending I have a dnb filter redoing my squid, using extract Ha Oiii scripts see what it looks like.
  17. I think I'll only add more time once I get a dnb filter. I'm just having one last wafer thin go at my data, culling more frames in case it helps. Pretty certain it won't
  18. second image used flats darks and bias calibration frames. i would say if you're going to take some flats, take some darks too. while its ideal to match temperatures for lights, darks and bias (and maybe flats, im not certain) all you'll waste in trying it out and seeing, is a bit of time i would say your 25minutes look better than my 45 ish minutes.
  19. i imaged same thing few months ago before i got my new camera. im just stacking a version with and without flats so you will get rough idea what to expect. will post them asap. both are 4200 seconds so vaguely similar to your time on target. no flats just auto stretch in siril and a screen grab now with flats. still same as above auto stretch and a screen grab. no processing at all. i didn't like my results after i processed but now im going to have to go back and have another go at processing it more nicely
  20. 20 minutes processing or total integration? either way i'd say it is worth more time. sadly you've made me have a third go at getting something out of mine. i've thrown away more subs and will try harder but im still pretty sure i'll get nothing but red.
  21. Looks promising who knows until post? Also, is that no entry sign the astro equivalent of the "no stairway" sign in Wayne's world? I've yet to experience the joy of controling my rig from a bar or pub. Yet.
