  1. I've just checked the seven day weather forecast. Right now it feels I've wasted thousands on equipment that just sits in the shed waiting and hoping. 🥱
  2. Thanks, I wasn't sure if the mm-s was compatible, didn't want to shell out that money and be disappointed I couldn't use it. These units are almost being given away now the are discontinued, I suspect a few people will take advantage of the low price. And then be surprised the compatible cameras cost more than the Eagle Core. I manged to find an older Canon 20D 8Meg camera. If your trying to astrophotography on a budget, it's a good starter. I see a few on ebay maybe I can get a deal. Cheers Phil
  3. Hello Did you many to get a guide camera solution? I notice you mention the ASI120mm mini is not supported, I can't find a bog standard ASI120MM anywhere, the Starlight Xpress Lodestar & QHYSL-II are more than what I paid for the Eagle Core. Cheers Phil
  4. Thanks everyone, a mixed bag of results there, I was also wondering if there was an eyepiece camera? That could sit over the rubbery bit of your eyepiece? Not looking for James Webb telescope quality, just a nice way of recording observations. Cheers Phil
  5. Hello I would love to know how people do this. I have tried several phone cameras and all I can see is a bright glow in the middle and the eyepiece around the outside. That's if I can hold the camera steady enough in the first place. I have also tried one of those camera holder adapter things, that was a bust. Cheers Phil
  6. Solved, I had to get a network cable and plug it into my router. Using address 192.168.0.250, I got in, updated and reset the wifi. Though I can now access with my laptop or desktop, I still can't 'remote desktop' the unit from my phone. Kind of negates the purpose if I still have to take my laptop out with me. Anyway, clear skies (Haha! living in the UK)
  7. Hi, PHD2 guiding app. I use a SvBony 305pro. You set mount synscan and enter the IP address of synscam app. I have also tried 'om camera' and connecting the ST4 cable to the hand controlle port but I can't see it has any effect. Cheers
  8. Hi Everyone. So if you try and match PHD2 with the synscan app, you get a 'Mount does not support pulse guiding' error message. Has anyone attached a Hand Controller, would you be able pair PHD2 through a hand controller? Trying to get any decent photography through this setup is proving difficult at best. Cheers
  9. Hi it's the latest 5.1.3. Thanks for the tips, looks like a lot of trial and error, mostly error. Phil
  10. Cripes that must have taken ages. So I have just a quick DSS stack with a few files and set the threshold to 5%, got a noisy image but at least somethings coming in. So it seems the answer lies in the calibration files somewhere. Cheers
  11. All loaded and checked. All in separate files for Siril and using the One Shot Capture script. Ta
  12. Hello Do I need a certain camera to do this thing. I am using a Canon 100D, I know not the best to be DS imaging with but it's all I have at the moment. Anyway, no matter how many bias, flat, dark and light frames I take, no matter what format I use, RAW or JPG, no matter what exposure, ISO etc I use, DeepSkyStacker and Siril, both keep telling me they are only going to process one frame. Would love some hints and tips before I bin this whole venture and go find something else to do. Cheers Phil
  13. Thanks I'll check those options out. Phil
