  1. Here is a widefield image of Orion, captured using my Redcat 71 with the Full Frame Asi6200MC camera. This was a total of 12 hours from 5 minute subs.
  2. The Spaghetti Nebula, a tough faint target captured from my bortle 6 location here in Gloucester Uk. With the 2 clear nights this week I managed to cool my camera down to minus 20'C and captured 20 hours of data made up from 10 minute subs. This target is so faint that a single exposure from my location reveals no detail. Only careful stretching and the 20 hours (more eventually) got me this image. Kit Used Redcat71 AM5 ZwoAsi6200mc camera Wo 50mm guidescope with Asi174mm Camera Optilong L-Ultimate dual band filter Processed in PixInsight.

  6. I put down 3k and I guess have lost that now!
  7. My first image taken with a mono camera using narrowband filters. This image of The Wizard Nebula I captured over 2 nights last week, totaling 9 hours of data with 10 minute subs. I used my Sharpstar PH140 Refractor with The ZWO Asi2600MM camera mounted on the EQ6-Rpro. I also processed the image in PixInsight which was the first time I have used this program. More manipulation required but pleased with what I have so far..
  8. Hi I am lucky to have one of the first ZWO AM5 mounts in the UK. I have been testing with my Celestron Edge8 with counterweight bar and tonight going to try out my Redcat71. Clear Skies All.
  9. For those interested I heard today from the owner of Home Observatories Uk. I like many others have placed an order and have been waiting some time for either replies to emails etc. Had a long conversation with the owner who was very apologetic and explained some of his issues etc, that i won't go Into detail here. The upshot is he will be in contact with those waiting for refunds or those who wish to still go ahead with installation. The website will be taken down shortly and no new orders are going to be taken.i myself have elected to still go ahead with my build as it's a custom design with special access for my disabled daughter. Regards Jonathon
  10. I paid them a 3k deposit for my observatory last year buy bank transfer and haven't heard a word I have not received even confirmation of my payment to HOUK.
  11. My base is down and I have fitted a pier. Unfortunately I ordered and paid a huge deposit to HOUK I have seen all the threads so I guess me and my Wife have lost our money. It's a shame as the observatory was for me and my family including my disabled daughter Chloe pictured.
