spikes apart you will hoover up more photons with the 130pds than the ed 80 so less time to get the final image and if you live in the uk then every minute counts.

It feels like a deja vue moment, lowest score is lowest quality score I thought, I liked to pick the highest scoring frame which usually has the lowest FWHM value neatest stars.
Edit, though I've already deselected the lowest scored if on inspection the stars are too ropey for me.
And I recall now picking the lowest score as the reference frame can help if stacking is reluctant to use all the frames.
yes it is a last resort to stack more frames but it allso deals with more difficult subs

easy way to use dss
open dss
now open the folder you have you files in then select all the light frames and drag them into dss and select light frames.
now open your dark frame folder and select all the darks and drag and drop them into dss and select dark frames.
and so on and son all into the same main window.
ps if you want it to stack all of your light frames select the lowest score in the score list as your reference frame.
hope this helps.

thank you Mick
if i can do it any one can i have found that the old saying less is more, in the processing. and setting up my scope properly is a massive difference.

What I think you have detected is SpaceX Starlink broadband internet constellation satellites train
Was another group of 60 launched just prior to Xmas, and the main observatory in Chile been complaining about them as well
Get used to it, with more to be launched shortly
Lot of info online about them
John

started this subject with the new Quattro 10s and wondered if anyone knows what this is it only shows up on the L-R-G-B but not on the HA.
the image is 7x3minute red - 7x3minute green - 7x3minute blue - 9x3minute Lumin - 7x5minute HA
i hope some one can help i have checked the scope for webs and the filters.
i had a few from the other night but deleted them thinking they where cloud or plane trails but not after a couple of days and its still there ??.
its a quick and dirty stack so please excuse the quality.
thanks for looking

A 300 Quattro is some beast.. What mount do you have ?? I have a similar scope but dare not unleash it on my EQ6, it just feels too big. Maybe a future upgrade to an EQ8 might give it some sky-time.
I'm liking the shots. 15sec exposures ?? Is that just to get your eye-in, or it that optimum duration for the tracking you have ?
Such a scope is going to hoover up all the available photons on this side of the galaxy. Looking forward to seeing some more DSO's from this rig.
Sean.
thanks Sean
the mount is the AZ EQ-gt its a great mount oh and my mistake is its not the 300 but the 250 i was going for the 300 but they dont have the baffle's but it is still a beast lol.
15 seconds is to keep the star bloating to a minimum but mainly it was to get the focusing and coma-corrector spacing fixed but still need to do a bit more tinkering as you will see in the corners of the double cluster.

finally getting to grips with the Aplanatic Super Coma Corrector on the quattro 300s its not very forgiving just a couple of miner adjustments and it should be done.
2 from last night NGC457 ET CLUSTER RGB 15 second subs 15 of each colour and the same for the Perseus double cluster.thanks for looking and all cc welcome

did you use flats and or darks if so then try stacking without them and see what happens some times bad flats or not enough flats can cause this and if its darks then you need a lot more.
if that dosnt work when stacking use median as the stacking method.
hope this helps

well done indeed Richard this is a beaut
