If you can retrace your steps from where you last saw it to when you used it after that you may get lucky.
Is it the metal end cap with the Takahashi logo ?

In the bottom of the page you can switch between Sterling, Euros and US Dollars David.
You may have clicked on something by mistake.
I don't think it has anything to do with the Big B!Doh !!!!!!

They are ADM and they do have slits in them but they will only hold M6 bolts.
I managed to find the answer on other forums.
2 solutions:
1. Drill or preferably tap M8 holes in the dovetail 35mm apart.
2. Use a recent version of the original white Vixen dovetail which happens to have 2 M8 holes tapped in the middle of it 35mm apart. Bu luck, I still had one of these lying around not being used, so result.
Tony
@Star Struck any chance you could post a photo of that Vixen dovetail please ?

Hello Kanita and welcome to SGL.
You have a very nice telescope.

The only thing I would be wary of is the wind blowing sand around.

Probably weighs the same as your scope 🤔

I sold my 50mm Tak finder as I found the cross hairs were so fine they were impossible to see.
I could have bought an illuminator that would have sorted the problem but it was more expensive than the standard Skywatcher finder !!

I use standard skywatcher 9x50 RACI’s on both of mine.

Jupiter well past it's best here tonight so I've moved over to Saturn and the views of that are pretty good
I can see that my fun is not going to last though - more and more patches of cloud are scudding across the sky.
If I get another 30 minutes observing I'll be doing well. It's been a nice session though so thanks for the "heads up" David

Views not so good here, seeing quite poor and not improved by having to observe through a tree just at the moment! That should improve in a little while. Perhaps a Tak would have been better than the 8", but the dob was easier to get out and setup tonight.
As usual views were better just after sunset and have now got worse.
Earlier the GRS was very easy and there was a definite thinning of the SEB to the right of the GRS.
Just swung the scope round to Saturn and could just make out the Cassini and the darker polar region on the planet but not much else.

Yes John, Ganymede is slightly brighter too due to it’s size perhaps ?
Am using my TSA102 with binoviewers tonight

When I was a teenager we had a piece in the local newspaper of several independent sightings of two bright lights interacting in the night sky for over an hour close to where I lived.
It slowly dawned on me that it was the same night my friend and I - just to do something different - had flown our stunt kites in the dark with small torches hanging off the tails.
😂😂😂😂
