Aurora

Pieter

Last day of our holiday in northern Sweden.

Shot with a Canon EOS 400D. Funny story is that I forgot to take of the connector of the mount back home so I had to use the shoulderstrap to fix it to the mount... Not an easy task in -30°C.

Hi Pieter,

Excellent shots despite having to improvise.  I can still remember the excitement (and coldness!) of seeing the aurora eventually appear in Finland and the fumbling with gloves, camera and settings to get a decent photograph. :hello2:

It is a sight to behold, especially when your vacation was almost over and already took peace with the fact that we would'nt see it anymore.

Our joy was immense when it suddenly filled the skies :)
