Yes i did!!!!!! Im completely hooked on this now. I was even dreaming about it last night. :) I've spent the last week around Orion, Pleiades and the moon. Was saving Jupiter for the weekend because its special. I think i told pretty much everyone in the pub last night and now have a queue of people who want to have a look. Now im thinking i need a date with Saturn. :)

You'll have to wake up pretty early to see Saturn but when you do,.. you'll be dancing in the streets at night. I remember the first time I saw Saturn,.. I actually cried!

Hi, I had a new telescope for Christmas. Saw Jupiter for the first time a couple of weeks ago with my own eyes & have been out viewing it every clear night since. I got up at 5am when we had some clear skies to get a look at Saturn, it was amazing and also Venus which was sooo bright...i'm completely hooked now, cant wait for a few more weeks when Saturn will be out in the evening! (I'm not a very good early bird!!)

I am totally hooked!!! Didnt realise how much time has passed since i last logged in here. Nights are getting warmer which is alot better but sadly the clarity isnt as good. Roll on winter nights and that extra jacket.... who needs a summer! :)

Yes, the lazy summer mights does grant us an easier time with the cold but robs us of prime viewing. First of all we have to wait longer for those perfect ink-black skies to come around and then,.. the stars are simply not as sharp. I have to say in summer's defense though,.. I don't suffer any frost bite in July!

Stolenfeather................ its 1am Scottish time and im just back in from the garden. I just saw Saturn for the 1st time and needed to tell someone straight away. :) I cannot believe how amazing it looks!! At first i looked online to check if it was visible then turned off the lights in my room and looked out the window. Turned out it was the first light in the sky i looked at, its almost like it was looking for me too. Haha!!! Set up the scope and found it really quickly, im getting better with it, and could not believe my eyes. Its so far away i wasnt expecting anything like what i saw. Perhaps i have my expectations too low but im starting to think thats the ultimate blessing. Im completely amazed and im gonna struggle to sleep tonight. Im up in 5 hours for work as it is but i think i've got a night of getting out of bed every 15 mins just to check saturns still there ahead of me. :) Hope you've warmed up a little and sorry to make this so long but it was spectacular as im sure you understand! :)

I understand completely since I also share your excitement when seeing Saturn! Keep the passion flowing! I sometimes wish that someone lived closer to me that shared this genuine excitement! I really need to participate in a stargazing party one day!
