Second display I've seen this year and the first to grab a few snaps

It did make the guy across the road wonder what I was doing at 3am with a camera as he went to work

Note to self use a tripod

Nice images, had a nice view of them the other night,see them a few time in the year up here, but like tonight its gale force 9/10 and loads of cloud, so enjoy the NLCs tonight. ;)

Image from the 5 Jul 2010 @ 01:20 it is very light up here so not the best time to see the NLCs up here, it was still light at 2:30am. the only planet you could see was Jupiter and that was about it, to bright for stars (well a few).
