Must.....resist.....imaging.......Lunar Shots

Moonshane

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I got home from the parents in law tonight and the moon was nicely positioned and it was clear so I thought what the heck - I'll try my new £8 Astroboot photo connector for my Nikon Coolpix 995 with the refractor.

An hour later here's the results (even though I've had three cans, they look ok for a first punt).

I even managed to 'accidentally' see the Lunar X for the first time ever as a little bonus!!

It's hit and miss but I think I hit a few decent ones along the way as follows:

I actually missed looking if I am honest so I cannot say I am totally hooked - I think I'd sooner be viewing than looking at what is essentially a screen, but it was fun alright.

Hope you enjoy and any comments/suggestions are most welcome.

These are definite single shot, point and press, all manual settings (pretty much) and undriven mount - so anyone can do it really.:D

cheers

Shane
