66mm APO comparison - what do YOU think?

Recommended Posts

I’m currently testing out two 66mm f6 APO scopes and want honest third party opinions of which is best.  I have recently bought a second hand William Optics Type II 0.8 x reducer/field flattener and I’ve been testing it out on both scopes.

Is one scope better than the other or are they both too similar to worry about?  I’ve included a star field and a flat for each scope.  All images taken with William Optics Type II reducer/field flattener and Astro-modified Canon 1100D fitted with IDAS LP2 clip in filter.  Star fields are 300 secs at ISO 400.

Thanks

Interesting to see the different exposures even though both f6 ... Difficult to comment as both different areas of sky but both seem to have similar star shapes.

The moon had got higher in the sky by the time I got the pictures using the second scope, so this may account for the more washed out sky.
