KyleStoke
Hello AllIs the grainyness of the below imaged caused by the moon it was taken on the 27/8th there was quite a bit of moon about, or is there some other issue. I have recently change focuser to a new moonlight one, but in doing so i change my whole image train adding an LP filter to the front and increasing the distance to 56.5mm. Just a bit worried that this change has caused the issue.Image details :-SWED80 x.85Atik 428EX Mono12 x 600Filters IR/UV cut and SW LP filterSimple levels and curves in Ps

ChrisLX200
Yes, a near full moon washes out the image, LRGB is a waste of time. The only option is to go to narrow band (H-alpha) but even then you get increased background. If there is the slightest amount of high cirrus/mist etc., in combination with moonlight then you can forget doing any imaging at all.ChrisH
