How to 'unfollow'!

Not sure which forum to post this on but would appreciate some help!  have been following the beginners forum on equipment and receiving notifications for new posts.  I no longer want to receive notifications but in-spite of following the instructions and unchecking the 'send me news and information' box am still receiving stuff and each time I enter the site the box is checked again!  I guess I must have missed something obvious!

One way is to ..

click on your name at the top right of the web page (assuming a non-tablet PC).

select 'Content I follow'.

                    or

click here whilst logged in.

You'd then be presented with a list of topics/threads you're following, each with a 'Change' button on the far right that will give you the option of terminating your following if you so wish.

You can also open the topic and click on " Follow This Topic" and the option to un-follow will become available ( Top right of the window just below the topic caption header)
