Bargain alert - Adobe Photoshop Elements 13

It's normally around 80 quid so quite a good bargain I've placed my order just.

It says Windows 8 but also works with windows 7 too - I think older versions may have some restrictions I.e Xp

I am a complete noob at photography and the books I have just bought give examples in photoshop so its ideal for me.

I'd never heard of photo plus before - is it good for AP?

I don't know about Elements 13 but earlier versions only worked in 8 bits - I doubt if this has changed.  16 bit files have to be downgraded to 8 bit before most of the editing functions would operate.  For astro image-processing I regard that as an insurmountable limitation.

Elements lacks the main features like curves that AP needs , at least it used to that's why full blown PS is so ridiculously priced.

PPX7 has all the relevant bits you need , works in 16-bit and accepts PS plug-ins ...
