North West Astronomy Festival 2014

The second North West Astronomy Festival is an exciting two day event on Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th of October at The Heath, Runcorn in Cheshire. With BBC Sky at Night Magazine as media partners, a fantastic line up of presenters and twice the floor space of 2013, this year's event is shaping up to be a spectacular astronomical weekend!

Festival 2014, 'Capturing the Universe' is part of World Space Week and is even bigger and more jam packed with a comprehensive timetable of activities, workshops, shows and presentations. Top names in the trade, practical astronomy, local astronomy clubs and help & advice sessions, add to the varied programme on offer.

The event is a not-for-profit event and all profit goes to working with young people who are disengaged from education. Teaching English, maths and life skills using Astronomy as a tool to encourage them back in education training and or employment.

Yes Mike, this year we have Peak2Valey (Refractors), IOAstronomy (Altair, Ioptron) Tring Astronomy Centre (Vixen and Celestron) and Astronomia (wide range)  as main kit sellers. Also a few surprise guests..:-)
