IC1318 & Sadr, Cygnus

Emission nebula IC1318 near the bright star Sadr or Gamma Cygni. I was currious to see how the optics coped with a bright, magnitude 2 star in one corner. Fairly pleased with the outcome was expecting flare or other issues.

I do like the points in the brighter stars :-)  Where do those come from?

These 'diffraction spikes' originate from the starlight passing the secondary mirror spider vanes of a Newtonian reflector.

Some people like diffraction spikes - others don't........
