Flare crackling through AR2036 just now

Still bright 1403 BST. Nice flare, two bright rivers of plage through the length of the group. There was a hot spot at the centre of this group about an hour ago but it faded. Well worth the wait though

That was most impressive... And a I mentioned in my other post, my first flare! Incredible just how bright it looked and how quickly it seemed to change... Definitely one of the best things I've seen through a scope!!

It reached M7.2, and I captured it . It was awesome. Loads of cloud here, but parted enough for me to capture a feww AVI's. will post pics on imaging forum later

Very detailed and complex event now in progress just off the disc, looks more like a prominence lift off rather than a prom.

At it's peak it was a lovely display, not sure I have quite seen as big a "river of light" on the surface before. I was only watching on the gong network as I was imaging in white light at the time.

What i didn't notice today that at the same time as the flare on AR2036, there was a simultanious CME on the SW limb,
