peter you could have explained

the heq5 is a much sturdier mount and can take twice the weight of the eq5 - 18kg vs 9kg.

if you are only interested in observing then an eq5 will take a 200mm easily.

if you are interested in imaging then go for the heq5.

eq5 s/h ~ 100 quid

heq5 standard s/h ~ 300

big price difference due to stability of each mount.

I bought my EQ5 from a guy of here (Black knight) who upgraded to a HEQ5, not only does it look the part but the difference in weight is huge, a much heavier mount.
