what filters for dso dslr imaging?

hey guys,

what filters are must have, reccomended etc for dso imaging? can anyone explain what they do and why they are needed?

If you suffer from LP the you will benefit from an LP filter... depending on the the source of your LP some filters work better than others...

For my low pressure LP light pollution my filter of choice is the Hutech IDAS P2 which I use in 2" and Canon EOS inbody format (a slimline 1.25" and mounting adaptor...)

I also use an Astronomik CLS-CCD clip in and Baader 35nm HA filter (2").
