Guiding setup advice

Right, next step on my imaging journey is a guiding scope rig (widefield/occasional DSO). Budget is around £400, was looking to go with the ST80 approach (on a WO ZS80/HEQ5 -) but looking for advice with what to go for QHY5/DSI?

QHY5 is possibly more useful as a multipurpose cam but if all you want it for is guiding and you can get one cheap then you wont be disappointed by the DSI's.. Mono preffered but not essential... on the st80 at f5 i wouldn't expect you to have any probs I use the colour ones at f8 and have never had to move the scope to find a guide star...

Thanks for that. Been looking for the QHY5 in used section but nothing doing, same with the DSI. May have to go top bat and buy new.

Were you the chap giving out Bhatinov's at SGL6?
