Galaxies I can image in 1hr?

Hi all

Looks like I'm gonna get a bit of imaging time tonight as our astro club are running a public stargazing evening in a local park.

My plan is to use the 80ED for imaging this time and I recon I can get together an hour or so of subs on something.

That seemed enough to capture M51 ok... but I am wondering what other galaxies or galaxy clusters are viable with an hour of subs at ISO 1600?

Is the Leo Triplet bright enough to get something on that sort of length of exposure?

Any other suggestions?

Cheers

Ben

I made up a list based on the total brigthness and apparent size for planning what to capture next. Data from Wikipedia so might be a little off here and there.

No wonder I didn't find 101, right there at the bottom of the list :-)

Might have a stab at 81/82 then.

Cheers!! That's a BIG help!!
