Canon 1000d Help

Hi Guys

I recently purchased a Canon 1000d second hand, its in mint condition but didnt come with the software.

What software do i need to make it work with my Laptop & Maxim DL?

For the original canon software, unpack and run this reg file first:

http://jannis.no-ip.info/CanonUpdate.rar

then, download the software updaters from canon's download page.

The reg file will fool the update software to think it's already installed, but corrupt, and reinstall the latest versjon.

NOTE!! I've written this reg file myself, and tested it successfully on windows XP pro, and windows 7. but i do NOT take any responsebility for any side effects it may have.

If you're unsure, right click on it, select edit, and read through it before running it to be sure of what it changes in your windows registry.

On the other hand, after trying APT, i'm never going back to canons own EOS utility...
