Had my first go with the NS8 and 0.67 focal reducer. Have been trying to get guiding sorted but unfortunately the mount wont respond in the x axis. I know it isn't the camera since everything is ok with the super polaris. Doubtless it's a little circuit board which could be replaced for silly money. Another call to David Hinds. The NS8 doesn't have permanent PEC either so will have to upgrade the hand set. Thought I'd have a go at unguided and no PE training. Started with 1 min then upped to 2. Thought it would be hopeless with the focal length over 1300mm and a moonlit night but very pleased. Sure it will go better if I can get some decent permanent PEC training. This is a combination of 1+2 min subs, about 1 hours worth in total. Binned 2x2 NS8 GPS and SXV
