Canon 1100d

Anyone got one of these cameras, if so, any good?

Can't comment as an owner, had a touchy feely of one today, it feels pretty much the same as the 1000d, it obviously has a few more features, but only having 12.2mp I think I may opt for the 550d or 600d as a upgrade for my 400d.

For Astro more smaller pixels which they basically have to be when the pixels count goes up in a "fixed size" sensor isnt neccesarily the best way to go...

14 bit Rwas on the 1100D as opposed to 12 bit Raws from the 1000D will help a lot and the the filesizes are managable... for non astro use the lower res sensor is more forgiving with the budget end lenses...

I'm tempted to get one sometime instead of modifying the 500D especially as we proved that L series lenses can focus at infinity on filter removed cameras..
