stoping dew forming

Hi group.

I want to protect my optics from dew forming on them so:

A. make a dew shield. (what would be the maximum liength from the end of the ota)

B. buy and fit heaters on the optics to stop dew forming ( would this temp increase affect the optics??)

C. both a & b.

D. other

both a and b mate. you may be able to get a heated dew sheild. failing that , a dew controler with bands, or bands on there own with a phono to 12 v battery. with a controler the current is controled so the heat is a gentle heat so as not to effect optical setup for imagin, and visual astronomy. cheers steve
