Making a Digiscope for Digital Imaging

I've been playing with idea of buying a Digiscope but have decided that surely it wouldn't be so hard to make one? (Plus the satisfaction of making it yourself ) I've only found a few designs but seem to be designed of flimsy materials, does anybody know of any design they have used and would recommend?
