I've got a 7mm Ortho, I though maybe a 9 and the 12.5 would make a nice set for the planets.

Those eyepiece's you have will Certainly be great for Planets Gaz, i think i will sell my 2" eyepieces and get some orho's never use the 2" ep's enough to warrent keeping them...

Funny you should say that James, I was going to treat myself out of the money for the camera with either a 2" 40mm Moonfish EP or the Ortho, but I couldn't think what I'd use the 2" Moonfish for that I couldn't already see with my 1.25" 32mm??

It's like that with me i have the 40mm EP i think i bought off you? that shows me plenty and canna be bothered sticking the 2" adapter in the scope for a 28mm 2" kellner Ep..

I think 2" EP are one of those things that you think you'll use a lot but don't bother with, a half decent 1.25" 32mm or 40mm is good enough IMHO.

People go on about FOV but theres not many objects that you really need a 2" Ep to view, maybe the Doulble Cluster and M31(?)?

Yes those two for sure i also found NGC7000 to be good with them but thats about it. I think there comes a point were you may aswell use a pair of Binos..?
