First lunar image - Super moon

Got out for the first time last night with the DSLR. The image didn't look much until I played with it in Lightroom. I'm quite pleased with it for a first attempt.

Can anyone suggest a filter that would improve a shot like this, and what effect would it have?

Canon 20D directly connected to 150P. ISO 100, 1/800 sec.

Nice "straightforward" moon shot!

Filters don't help much if at all ... when you get to a longer focal length so that seeing wobbles are an issue, a red filter does help ... but only when used with a monochrome sensor!

Try reducing the exposure a bit, the brightest patches are getting very close to "burning out".
