Do the Meade w/a eyepieces offer an advantage over Plossls for moon gazing? I have a gap in the 15mm department....

Wider field of view yes, but WA's are often poor at the edges in fast scopes, f/5. Usually f/6 is as fast as they are advertised at and probably better at f/7 and slower.

So depending on your scope it could be yes, no or both.

Depends which Meade Wide angle eyepiece you had in mind?

Meade QX - pretty darn poor at F5

Meade 5000 Super Plossl - not brilliant at F5

Meade 5000 SWA - nice at F5

Meade 5000 UWA - very nice at F5

Meade 4000 SWA - okay at F5, not great

Meade 4000 UWA - very nice at F5

Don't forget you can stick a Barlow onto a longer focal-length wide-angle (or other) eyepiece to dramatically improve its performance at F5
