I bought a Philips SPC880 I flashed the firmware and installed the driver and tried yesterday using vlounge and wxastro worked then went out last night all I got was black

What were you trying to image?

Webcams are really only for the moon and planets.

Hmmmm

That may be the problem. Unless you have a long exposure modified webcam the frame rate is to short to record deep sky objects.

I think you'll get great results on the moon and planets.....
