EQ-5 pillar mount

I'm looking at fitting a pillar in the garden to aid in setting up my 200P EQ5 goto scope. I stumbled across this in one of the threads on the forum

The poster mentions it uses "craigs" mount on a stainless steel tube. Can anyone give me the approx dimensions (tube diameter) I would need to order from a metal merchant, and if anyone knows who (Craig) machines the bit that bolts on the top ?

Guys, thanks for the links etc.

I'm just weighing up my options. Whilst I appreciate the engineering that goes into those heads by the time I've sourced the tubing, had the thing welded and drilled I'm guessing I won't be far off the commercially available pillar for the EQ-5.

Craig, can you let me have the dimensions of the tube / plate you used ?

I got an 8" diameter air con ducting tube. Cost about £35 if I remember correctly, and I filled it with concrete and sprayed it black.
