How do you store yours?

Recommended Posts

I currently store mine in my study, but as my two year old son is constantly managing to get into it, despite the stair gate, I have to take it apart (I can see him pulling the whole thing down on top of him). This means it takes even longer getting set up and finishing, and I am having to collimate and re-set the finder scope every time. I am starting to be persuaded by the idea of putting it in the garage.

At the minute my 120 and 80 ED are laid on the bed in the spare bedroom mounts and tripods closed and folded away. The 10" Newtonian however has a custom made wooden crate, fixed to a 2 wheeled trolley with semi inflated pneumatic wheels. The tripod fits on a custom made bracket on the back of the trolley. There's a 12v battery and 2 12v Car plug outlets fitted. It also carries the mount, weights and all the ep's and filters for it. post number six in the thread below.
