IC 405 - The Flaming Star Nebula

Ha - 2 hrs

R - 1hr G&B 1.5 hrs all in 15 min subs.

It was getting misty towards the end of this so it looks a bit soft, will have to go back to it soon.

The nebulosity is very attractive and it does no harm, in my book, for a nebula to be neboulous! I think I'd have a look at the green stars and sky background, though. Maybe it it is just the missing half hour of red? Colour balance or attention to levels in each channel might sort it easily.

I always seem to get the green cast when converting to JPEG, the TIFF looks ok! ho hum.

Better, for sure; how do you apply the Ha? That looks like Ha as Lum but I could be wrong.

Have you tried Ha into red only in blend mode lighten? Personally I do it in several iterations and only then do I risk a light (15 percent) dose as Luminance.

Both! 20% with red and about 40% lum

But I am at the moment taking straight lights, so will just make a L(R,Ha)GB version later.
