Problems with Vspec?

I've been trying to run my Rigel spectra thru Vspec again, but have come up against a problem.

Using John's excellent guide, I can get as far as the calibration, but no matter what I try, the program won't add lines to my graph.

I'm using the 2 line calibration. When I move the red line to the desired place and right click, it brings up a box that says Line 1, Line 2 and Calibration (this last option is currently greyed out). If i click on either Line 1 or Line 2 (right click, left click or mouse pad click) it doesn't add a reference line/s to the graph.

I've deleted the program off and re-installed it, but still no joy.

Any ideas at all please? I've been trying since 10:30am this morning!

I made that mistake. You need to drag a box a round the line. Get the red line near the start of the line to add to the calibration then drag to the other side of the line and release. That should do it.

D'oh! Thanks Andrew.

Will have to wait a while though - I've just got a critical disk failiure on my laptop! New is was coming one day as the laptop is ancient. Gives me an excuse to get a notebook now...
