mason Posted January 26, 2011 Share Posted January 26, 2011 Hi,i have a skywatcher eq 6 syntrek mount which i want to control through my laptop. i dont want to buy a synscan hand controller and have heard of a HitecAstro EQDIR adapter which can bypass the hand controller.What i would like to know is, do you have to make any modification to the mounts circuits, or is it just plug and play?any advice would be greatly recived. Glider Posted January 26, 2011 Share Posted January 26, 2011 Just make sure you buy the right version. The EQ6 one has a 9pin connector at the mount end, the EQ5 has an RJ45.
