Just an update.

I tried a metal hood last night. I found I had to up the dew control power a tiny bit as a small amount of mist started to appear. Other than that it all worked as normal.

The 2" eyepiece band still fits.

Excellent, my metal hood arrived this morning and hopefully the dew controller and strap will be here Monday.;)
