SimonR
Interesting question. Stellarium is no substitute for the real thing is it?I've been searching but can't find figures for seasonal variation in cloudiness. The Met Office does have figures for average hours of sunshine but this will include the lengthening of the days. If you look at the maps for rainfall as well it does look like summer skies are clearer.LINK - Met Office: UK mapped climate averagesFigures for actual cloud cover must exist somewhere. oldfruit
Hi, occupational hazzard i`m afraid. Just wait until the cloud clears and get out whenever you can. Try not to waste clear nights as the weather has been awful this last year.
