QHY 8l - Review in progress

Having just received the QHY8l from Lunatico so far i am impressed. You get the standard well built plastic case with a nice metal company name plate to remind you where you bought it, 1 power cable with lighter style plug, 1 cd, 1 usb cable, 1 power cable (mini din connectors) and 1 power adaptor...this is powered by the lighter plug so no mains transformer here. The input requirements for the adaptor are 12v 4 A but i wonder if that depends on what % the cooler, tec, is running at.

Oh you also get a qhy8l by the way....just in case you thought it was a really expensive case and a vouple of leads.

I am now going to try and set up the software! Hope its not too hard...

I have the older qhy8, they really are great cameras for the money. Hope all goes well for first light

I bought some baader filters for the Art285 as well so those are being tested first. I thought it better to sit in the warm with the qhy and go through loading all the software and testing it before installing it in the observatory.

I´ll post a couple of darks and a review of the software in a bit....depending on how it goes.
