Modded camera and LP

I took some subs last night aiming for Orion, capturing the running man and the horsehead. They were very affected by LP and of course the moon. So, my question is whether a modded camera goes some way to combat this? Or would I be better with a LP filter?

I am thinking about a modded camera as well as needing less time for subs and capturing more data than my standard DSLR. I've read quite a few threads and searched a bit, but can't quite find the answers I'm looking for.

My other question about the modded camera is for example, whether it would make any difference to my M31 capture?
