Polar Finder?

Hi All,

Just purchased me a brand new Celestron C6 SGT today on GOTO CG-5 mount. Very pleased indeed! :icon_eek:

Ultimately I want to venture into astrophotography with this set up (I also have a Canon 1000d), but understand it is a steep learning curve and without £1000's of kit it is unlikely to achieve images like the ones in magazines. I'm always up for a challenge though!

So with that in mind, my question is this.... For tracking of objects on the mount, how much more accurate will it be if I attach a Polar Finder to the mount? I have seen them for about £40 but want to know if it's worth spending the money seeing as I have just spent loads on the scope and mount.

Will it offer more accuracy than a usual polar align without one?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers
